Cleaning our bodies from inside is the most important treat we can do to ourselves. Detoxing allows us to clean our bodies. By doing so, we allow our gut to be clean and fully functioning. I love the book of Dr. Junger which is the detox I feel is the most effective and provide long term results. Basically you eat one lunch made of solid food (not broken down) while in the evening and morning you get 2 liquid meals (pre-digested). You need to leave 12 hours between the last evening meal and the first one in the morning. 

The change of season and especially spring is the occasion to clean everything around us so why not including ourselves...?

This morning my 7 year old twins asked “What’s Nutella? The kids at school eat it. Why can't we have it?"

Don’t get me started on the matter...

When I was a child, my mom bought Nutella. I remember taking it while she wasn't looking and hiding under my bed. I ate most of it with my fingers.

Guess what happened? At 9 years old I became a very overweight child.

So if Nutella is SO "good," why do we get fat and inflamed from eating it?

Nuts About chocolate sprouted spread and sprouted seeds crackers to manage hunger and boosts nutrition

As a parent, one of my hardest challenges is what snacks am I going to give my kids today? How creative can I be and how do I get them to buy into healthy eating?

So I thought I’d consult the great Google. This is what I got:  juice, cereals, popcorn, crackers, fruit, bagels, cream cheese, muffin, banana sandwich, processed meat.  And right there and then Google lost me. Seriously!?  That’s what you got???

I’m good with fruit in moderate quantities (fructose levels even in whole fruit need to be watched).

But the rest of Google’s suggestions, which are generally filled with refined flour, hydrogenated corn syrup, hormone & antibiotic filled meat & cheese, and popcorn are now healthy options?  Mon Dieu!

Nuts About Chocolate might be the World’s best sprouted spreads in the worlds.  A decadent sprouted spread which combines sprouted nuts and raw cacao is such an amazing gift to ourselves.

I am very excited to be back in Los Angeles after 7 weeks away! No worries, HNINA was churning out healthy gourmet goodies the entire time thanks to our amazing crew (Katya and Fernanda we love you!!!!)

Raw sprouted seeds crackers made with sprouted flax, sprouted sesame, sprouted pumpkin seeds and sprouted sunflower seeds to manage hunger and boosts nutrition

Sprouted seeds are my favorite snack when I am craving for omegas, protein and calcium.

Today I sprouted a mix of raw Flax seeds, raw sesame seeds, raw pumpkin seeds and raw sunflower seeds.
We have been working on a new product based on this mix which is also the mix we are using to make our raw chocolate sprouted seeds truffle.

Let me tell you that the amount of protein that you get it just amazing. I am not even talking about the nutrients, minerals, vitamins, enzymes and antioxidants they contain once they have been activated or sprouted if you prefer.

It may not be a paleo friendly superfood but it is definitely vegan.

I am not neither one nor the other but I just listen to how my body feels when I eat them. And it feels damn good. No bloating, unfriendly gas and my energy is over the roof.

My breakfast this morning was this superfood raw cracker with a beautiful homemade raw coconut butter and our soon to be raw chocolate sprouted spread which so divine yet so nourishing.

In one tiny cracker, I had enough food to hold until 1.30 pm.

Why would you tell me?

Simply because it is loaded with so much protein, calcium, iron, high in energy, minerals (manganese, copper, phosphorus, potassium and zinc), omega-3, folic acid, niacin, B1, B6, B2 vitamins, lignans (fiber) which acts as antioxidant.
